Even trained people are unemployed in india

  Even trained people are un-employed?

               Dalip Singh Wasan, advocate.

Here in India there is no planning and people are not trained as per requirement of the country.  if we sit in an Employment Exchange, we shall be surprised to note that most of the people registering their names shall not be telling clearly for which job, occupation or post their name be registered.  Therefore, staff of Employment Exchanges is obliged to register their names in – General Vacancies- and it is on record that most of the candidates remain on Live Registers of the Employment Exchanges for ten years or more when they could receive a call letter from the office and till then most of them are overage for jobs because of the age restrictions.

This the condition of general candidates and the people who have got some training, they too are not getting jobs in that trade because they had  undergone a training where surplus candidates were already waiting for employment in the market.  The people were not given guidance when they were admitted in that training and now they are also on the road and therefore, the most frustrated class.

Here the ministry of human resources is never planning education, training and then providing jobs to the candidates and therefore, most of the people remain un-employed even after having proper education, training because they are in the surplus categories.  We have seen in the state of Punjab that a large number of people are on the road who had been trained as B.Ed. teachers.  Even the state could not give them jobs.  Similar is the position of those people who are coming from ITIs and Polytechnics.  Even doctors, engineers and people trained in computer science and MBA are on the road.  So there is something wrong with the planning and therefore, the state must have an introspection and the parents should also have guidance before they spend a lot money on their wards on training which shall prove a futile exercise.
